STAW ROMULAN VALDOR CLASS VRAX PREVIEWED!

The second Romulan Valdor Class ship was previewed at the STAR TREK website today! Check out the coolness that is the Attack Wing Wave 17: I.R.W. Vrax Expansion Pack... we need one in our fleets, I think!

It is cool to see another ship from the films make it into the game. These known ships make the game much better in my view. Keep the classic goodies in STAR TREK!

I will be using the Federation Models version of the babass Valdore of course. But more Romulan Paper is a good thing!

BATTLE VIDEO TEST HANGOUT 1.5

So Lee and I got together and attempted to run our first G+ Hangout Battle. Sadly (comically) the results after two hours of trying to adjust the video and sound on G+Plus are a Big MEH!

I knew that Google hangouts had issues but I also thought that you could adjust the quality while hosting an event by adjusting your camera settings during a live stream. Nope. Google only allows you to make general changes and then they compress the streamed video until it looks and sounds terrible.

Unless I can make some changes via other options for streaming events, the group battles here at the parlor are not going to happen. I plan to start making some cool video battles too, but now that we have tried this out I can see that I need to get my lighting setup much better first.

I am going to be working on ALL of this over the coming weeks...

BBP *VIDEO TEST* BATTLE: STAR WARS X-WING - EMPIRE vs. SCUM - BATTLE PREVIEW

I am hosting the first Battle Parlor test battle hangout this weekend. This is going to be a small 110 point game to get the video quality and overall game setup established. I am not a professional film maker... so this is going to be fun. I might not blow the damn camera up... dunno yet.

I am playing the Empire and Lee is running Scum. EVIL vs. EVIL!  My squad leader is Captain Oicunn and Lee is running Boba Fett, both of these characters like to get up close and personal... this just might be a lot of fun!

Who will prevail in this conflict? Tune in this Saturday at 6:00 P.M. EST to find out!

WORKING ON THE FLEET LIST...

I am building the Fleet List pages now. This is going to take some time and I will be adding to all of these pages as I get new models.

For now I am just making text list. As this project progresses and I get the spacial models done for STAR BLAZERS and STAR TREK I will be including some nice images of everything that is in my arsenal. The purpose of these Fleet List is simply for all regular BBP participants to be able to reference the ships they can use to build their fleets.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

I hope you all had a good weekend, and enjoyed the little things that our freedom makes possible. There is nothing more important than being able to enjoy life as best you can.

I made a nice dinner, and even baked an apple pie... yes apple... dammit.

The city fireworks are visible from my front balcony, so every year I set out with friends and a drink and enjoy the show... cause.

The mailman delivered several packages on Friday, which made them all two days early. That was a nice surprise. Now I can play with new toys this weekend, instead of next week. That Klingon Vor'Cha is a pip!

I am going to get the new special (expensive) ships done this Summer so we can kill it this Autumn! The new BATTLE PARLOR BLOG is going to be full of fun in the coming months too, I think!
